• Patricia Hooton received her BSN from Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Canada, and her MSN in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University. Her career includes over 30 years of pediatric nursing experience serving in general pediatrics, pediatric oncology, newborn nursery, neonatal intensive care and school health. Patricia became a Credentialed Public Health Nurse in North Carolina in 2022 and is a Nationally Certified School Nurse. Patricia served as a Region School Health Nurse Consultant with NC DHHS from 2019 to 2024. Patricia has had vast experience developing and presenting continuing education to school nurses across the state of North Carolina. She joined the ECU Faculty in November of 2024 as a Pediatric Clinical Instructor in the undergraduate degree program.
