    	Dr. Sessoms is a dedicated and passionate nursing educator with over two decades of teaching experience in obstetrical nursing. Serving as a Clinical Associate Professor in the East Carolina University College of Nursing, she brings a wealth of clinical experience and academic expertise to the classroom.
 Education:
 Dr. Sessoms earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a concentration in Nurse Midwifery, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees from East Carolina University.
 Teaching Experience:
 With a career spanning over 20 years in nursing education, Dr. Sessoms has honed her skills as an educator, mentor, and leader. She has served in various capacities, including curriculum development, program coordination, and mentorship of undergraduate nursing students as well as new faculty. Her wealth of experience has contributed to the success of countless nursing professionals who have passed through her classroom.
 Clinical Experience:
 In addition to her teaching role, Dr. Sessoms maintains a deep connection with clinical practice. Her extensive background includes roles in labor and delivery, antepartum care, postpartum care, and mother/baby nursing. This dual perspective, combining academic and clinical expertise, uniquely positions her to bridge theory with real-world applications in obstetrical nursing.
