Dr. Devlyn McCreight is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator in the Counselor Education Department at East Carolina University and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor with over 18 years of clinical practice experience across multiple states. He has more than a decade of experience teaching and training graduate students in counselor education and related helping professions, with a focus on applied learning, professional identity development, and leadership formation.
Dr. McCreight's teaching and program leadership emphasize the integration of theory, skill development, and reflective practice. He has led and contributed to multiple course redesign initiatives, including group counseling, supervision, student affairs and college counseling, and substance use and addictions coursework, with particular attention to leadership competencies, ethical decision-making, and culturally responsive practice.
