  • Poverty Simulation Facilitated (lead) poverty simulation for social work students at ECU 2025
  • Guest Lecture- Women's Health Guest lectured in all women's health courses for fall 2025, and spring 2026 (other than my own section). 2025

  • HEP Diversity Committee member/ co-president Committee comprised of HEP faculty to assure that the department is upholding ECU's diversity criteria, and to plan diversity-related events for students and staff. 2019 - 2023
  • HEP Poverty Simulation Committee Serving on a committee of a few faculty members who have been trained to facilitate Poverty Simulations. We are working together to plan simulations for students, faculty, and community members in the coming semesters. This simulation framework is developed by the Missouri Community Action Network, and provides insight into real-life poverty in communities around America. This directly relates to many of the public health issues we see in our local community and is a great educational opportunity. 2018 - 2023
  • NC School Health Training Center Facilitator Attended, Facilitated, and observed workshops and educational sessions for the NC School Health Training Center. Workshops include Darkness to Light, SafeTALK, Puberty, Making Proud Choices, etc. 2018 - 2023
  • National Public Health Week Committee After serving as the NPHW 2019 committee chair for the third year in a row, I have decided to take a step back and serve as a committee member. During this week in April, we work with students, faculty, alumni, and community members to bring awareness to public health and to showcase all research ECU is doing in the health field. 2018 - 2022
  • Eta Sigma Gamma Co- Faculty Advisor for Eta Sigma Gamma, a health education honors organization for BSPH students. 2016 - 2022
