• Jerry Gao earned his doctorate in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. His research interests include (1) green and lean construction, (2) visualization of the design and construction process, and (3) advanced concrete materials and construction. Gao's main research goal aims to create smart and sustainable construction systems. He integrates current technologies with traditional construction techniques and materials, and therefore makes the construction operation faster, safer, and more accurate.
