Sarah Weeks

  • Collaborative Pianist Sarah Weeks, a native of North Carolina, joined ECU's collaborative piano department in 2025. Her duties include accompanying the internationally renowned ECU Chamber Singers, Collegiate Choir, and various voice studios.
    Some of her most notable engagements comprise of performing with the Greenville Choral Society in Summer of 2026 to London to join Vox Anima and Voces8 in various performances including the Barbican and the Canterbury Cathedral. Previously, she performed with GCS on their debut on the Carnegie Hall stage in May of 2025 under the direction of Dr. Andy Roby. In 2022, Sarah won the Promising Young Collaborative Artist Award from the Puerto Rico Center for Collaborative Piano. In 2016, she traveled and performed with the Wingate University Singers during their time in Austria and the Czech Republic and in 2019 to South Africa under the direction of Dr. Kenney Potter. She was also invited to perform with the UNC Asheville Singers at the White House's program American Treasures, under the direction of Dr. Melodie Galloway.
    In addition to Sarah's professional piano roles, she has been seen with the North Carolina Choral Artists and Hampton Roads Doorway Singers as a member of the ensemble. She has also performed with VocalSpace as both collaborative pianist and singer.
    While a student at ECU, Sarah was the music director for ECU Opera's 2022 production of The Prodigal Son and served as rehearsal and outreach pianist for their 2019 production of Hansel and Gretel. Additionally, she was a member of the Chamber Singers, with whom they recorded Silence in Music and Oxford University Press's Vaughn Williams for Choirs 2.
    Sarah is a member of American Choral Directors Association and Sigma Alpha Iota.
    She previously held the position of Lecturer of Piano and Department Collaborative Pianist at Elizabeth City State University and was an adjunct Collaborative Pianist at Wingate University. She currently holds collaborative piano positions with the Greenville Choral Society's Youth Chorale and Concert Choir, the Beaufort County Choral Society, and St. James United Methodist Church in Greenville, NC.
    Sarah holds degrees from Wingate University with a BA in Piano Performance and East Carolina University with a MM in Collaborative Piano and Vocal Pedagogy.
