• I am a Teaching Instructor in the Department of Technology Systems at East Carolina University, where I specializes in cybersecurity and information technology. A two-time alumnus of ECU with both undergraduate and graduate degrees, I bring over two decades of professional and academic experience in network security, systems administration, and ethical hacking.
  I hold multiple industry certifications, including CCNP Security, Red Hat RHCSA (EX200), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security , Network , and A . In 2025, and was recognized as a member of the CEH Hall of Fame for his distinguished contributions to cybersecurity education and ethical hacking.
  My teaching and research interests focus on ethical hacking, penetration testing, cyber defense strategies, workforce development, and the integration of hands-on labs to prepare students for industry certifications. Passionate about student success, I actively mentors future cybersecurity professionals while contributing to ECU's mission as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense.
